Marilee Yeager

Liberty University Counseling Student

Supervised by Shawna Munson, MA, LPC-S

My name is Marilee Yeager and I am a Licensed Professional Counseling student through Liberty University, currently completing my practicum under the supervision of Shawna Munson, LPC-S. I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with an EC-6 teaching certificate.

Because of my teaching experience, I am passionate about working with children, families, and individuals who need a soft spot to land and be heard. I specifically am interested in serving clients who have experienced trauma and need someone to partner alongside them in their journey of healing and health.

My philosophy of counseling revolves around a person-centered therapeutic process while integrating cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I believe you are the expert of your own story and it is my honor to act as an authentic listener and learner. From here, we can collaborate to find clarity and move towards a better future.

In my spare time, I love to read, be in nature, hike, play with my husky puppy, create art, and cook new recipes. I look forward to meeting you and hope to sit with you in the thick of your circumstances as we work together towards understanding, healing, and growth.
