Empower Yourself With Serenity House Counseling
Take Control of Your Future
Counseling is not a one size fits all service!
It requires understanding your specific needs, whether that be individual, marriage, pre-marital, or family counseling, we will work together to visualize a plan that meets your unique goals.
Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. Relationship counseling can help to promote positive communication and to resolve issues in the relationship. It can even be useful to help couples work through traumatic situations together. The ultimate goal is "Us against the problem, not us against each other!"
Active Military and Veteran Therapy
Individuals, Couples, & Family
Active Military and Veteran Individuals, Couples, and Families live a life that many cannot relate to. With constant deployments, training activities, separations, moral, mental, and physical injuries to attend to, you are often put to the test when it comes to patience! It can feel lonely and like no one understands where you are. Here at Serenity House Counseling, we understand where you are.
This service is a favorite among many of our clients, as it is often times one of the keys to a happier, healthier life. Our job is to help ask the questions for you to learn what answers are right for you. We provide a safe environment and hold space while you explore what is working well and what would benefit from being changed. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or just need a safe place to vent, we are here for you.
Family counseling is a great place for the family to learn to work together as a system. Whether there is a new member joining the family, generational stress, or estrangement between family members, we provide a safe, nonjudgmental platform for families to work through issues and to make tomorrow better than today!
Children often struggle with communicating their thoughts and feelings, especially when they're very young. Play may not seem like a way to communicate, but it's very effective for children. Playing boosts confidence in children by providing an outlet for:
Increasing knowledge of self
Transferring ideas into real life
Making connections with other people
Everyone has life struggles with which they are dealing, but being part of the LGBTQ community often comes with additional stress, such as discrimination, identity issues, and low self-esteem. Whether you are struggling to come out, having family issues, marital/relationship issues, or just dealing with the day-to-day struggles of life, we foster an environment that allows you to speak freely, openly, and honestly about your needs. We are here to help you navigate the challenges in order to become the most authentic version of yourself.
