Jillian Cogbill

Abilene Christian University

My name is Jillian Cogbill, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy student intern at Abilene Christian University under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Shawna Munson, LPC-S, LMFT-S, LCDC. I have a deep passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. I graduated from Lamar University with a bachelor’s degree in Family Science, where I cultivated a strong foundation in understanding the dynamics of relationships and family systems.

Throughout my journey, I have been fortunate to work with diverse populations, including the homeless community, where I helped develop resource guides that have served as vital tools, providing essential information and support tailored to the unique needs of individuals facing homelessness. This experience not only enriched my perspective but also fueled my commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.

I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for all ages, where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is warm and personable, as I believe in the importance of building strong, trusting relationships. I am dedicated to helping my clients achieve their personal goals, whether that’s improving communication, strengthening bonds, or finding new coping strategies.

As a proud mother of three amazing daughters, I understand the complexities and joys that come with family life. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending quality time with family, and catching up with friends. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and help you create the positive change you seek in your life!
