Kayla Sommer

Hi! My name is Kayla Sommer, and I have been one of the Administrative Assistants at Serenity House Counseling since May 2023. I support clients, clinicians, and interns through scheduling, handling referrals, and other daily administrative duties.

I am currently a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, where I will graduate in May 2026 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, minors in Social Work and Educational Psychology, and a Certificate in Spanish for Mental Health Professions. I plan to pursue my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Sam Houstin State University in Fall 2026.

My time at Serenity House Counseling has been a meaningful learning experience and a valuable part of my personal and professional journey. Assisting individuals in accessing mental health care has been deeply rewarding, and in my future career as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I hope to continue supporting others in this work.
